Tropical Oceanview Concierge King / Double (BCK / BCD)

At Beaches Negril the Tropical Oceanview Concierge, room codes BCK and BCD are our most requested standard concierge rooms. In full transparency, it’s not because they’re the best rooms in this category, but because they’re available everywhere. Montpelier buildings in Calypso Cove on floors one through three. Savannah buildings in Reggaeville on floors two and three. Santa Cruz buildings in Island Village on floors two and three. When we have a family who wants options for a certain section of the resort or just wants an entry level concierge room, the BCK or BCD is our go to… 

The Tropical Oceanview Concierge (BCK) has a king bed with a pullout sofa which is great for a family with one child or one additional adult. The Tropical Oceanview Concierge (BCD) has two double beds. Both options have a private balcony with oceanview and tropical garden views, one full bathroom with a tub and shower combo, and concierge service.

One honest note on the BCD before you book: the two double beds work well for parents with younger children, but having been in these rooms personally, the two double beds might be too small for four adults sharing the room. For a family of two adults and two children where the kids are sharing a bed, it’s totally fine, but for four adults, the Tropical Oceanview Concierge Two-Bedroom Junior Suite – BSC or Tropical Oceanview Concierge Family Rooms – BCC offer two rooms which could be a better fit.

Next point… The BCK and BCD replaced the previous “Beachfront” description when the Eventide Villa building was built in the Calypso Cove section. The view is technically an ocean view from the balcony, but we want you to know that it’s not a complete view.

Let’s touch on resort updates… We heard from a client who stayed in room #317 (BCK, Montpelier building) loved the updates with new sinks, countertops, furniture, and lighter colors that brought the room into a more modern space, but they’re not all complete, as bathroom renovations are still ongoing in some units. If you’re considering this room, we’ll work to get you into one of the newer ones, if available.

With this room, concierge service includes champagne on arrival, preferred check-in at the Concierge lounge with access from 7am to 10pm where you’ll have dedicated concierge assistance, and an in-room bar with liquors, Robert Mondavi wines, and local beer. Refrigerator stocked with water, juice, and soda.

So which to choose? The main decision between BCK/BCD and their alternatives is the floor level and overall access. If walkout access is what you’re looking for or you have mobility concerns, stairwell preferences for young children, or just prefer no stairs, the WBCK and WBCD are the walkout versions on the ground floor in Reggaeville and Island Village. The BCK and BCD are upper floors with a balcony.
