When Are The Cheapest Times to Visit Sandals

As travel professionals, we didn’t just pull these dates from a pricing chart. Our rankings come from a combination of Sandals historical rate trends, airfare fluctuations, and what we’ve personally seen work best for our clients.

We’ve analyzed nightly rate averages across the top rated Sandals resorts, total value for the price, including resort quality, dining, excursions, flight costs, weather patterns and availability of promotional offers (like the 7-7-7 Sale or other promos)

We also factored in the not-so-obvious elements: resorts outside the hurricane belt (like Curaçao), lower airfare on Tuesday/Wednesday departures, and client feedback from over 2,500 Sandals trips we’ve booked.

To help you get an idea as to what your trip could cost, we also built the most comprehensive Sandals resorts pricing calculator anywhere on the internet.

In less than 30 seconds, you can find the resort and room that matches your budget and interests.

Let’s get into the 5 cheapest times to visit a Sandals resort!

This is a great pick for honeymooners or couples celebrating an anniversary. You can get a penthouse oceanview suite in May for less than a beachfront Club Level room during high season. Make note.. This is a public beach so you will see beach vendors. They are friendly but are there selling services and souvenirs.

We’ve seen big drops in price happen often, especially when stacking the 7-7-7 sale with Sandals Select rewards and the free anniversary night.

When Is Peak Season for Sandals Resorts?

Knowing when not to travel is just as helpful as knowing when to go.

  • Very high season: Mid-December through mid-April.
  • Holiday Blackout Periods: Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents’ Day, and Easter week come with premium pricing and little flexibility for discounts.
  • Lower season: September through early December.

One note
: Some clients assume lower rates mean fewer services. That’s not the case. Sandals operates at full service year-round, no cutbacks on dining, entertainment, or activities, no matter the month. Some restaurants may be on an opening rotation but they are all open and available.

What Months Are the Cheapest to Go to Jamaica?

arial view of the Bamboo Grove beach at Sandals Negril

Jamaica is home to seven Sandals resorts, and it’s one of the most flexible islands when it comes to price variation.

Here’s what we’ve found through our personal experience and research:

  • September: The absolute lowest resort rates, especially at Sandals Ochi and South Coast. With a little flexibility, you can find Luxury-level rooms for under $200 pp/pn.
  • October–Early November: Less rain than September, similar pricing, and often better flight options.
  • May: Great weather, steady pricing, and less competition for top room categories. Especially ideal for weddings or groups.

Insider tip
: Arriving on a Sunday or Tuesday can knock several hundred off your total airfare. We’ll help time it right when building your itinerary.
