Negril Luxury King / Double (LK / LD)

Entry level luxury rooms in the Montpelier buildings, located in Calypso Cove, the quietest section of the resort, featuring a partial view of Seven Mile Beach. Here you’re just steps from The Mill buffet and the main pool.

At Beaches Negril the Negril Luxury LK and LD represent the Luxury level entry price point into this resort and are the only standard Luxury rooms in the Calypso Cove section of the resort. Here you’ll find it’s noticeably quiet as compared to the Savannah buildings in Reggaeville, and it’s an easy walking distance to the Mill buffet which has the best breakfast buffet and the main pool. While this is considered an oceanview, it is partial rather than panoramic, but it’s there. The room itself has hand-carved hardwood furnishings, a private patio or balcony, and an en-suite bathroom with a full tub and shower combo.

The bedding setup identifies the room code: the LK features a king bed with a pullout sofa, which is a great option for a family with one child who needs a separate sleeping area, and the LD has two double beds without a pullout sofa. Both rooms include a refrigerator stocked with water, juice, and soda and while there is no concierge service, there is a culinary desk in the main lobby where you can make your weekly dinner reservations.

Aside from those main differences, everyone in this room category gets complete resort access to every restaurant, bar, pool, waterpark, water sports, kids camp, and entertainment program.

So what is trade off? At this level you’re saving quite a bit of money and get the Calypso Cove location in the Montpelier building. For many, I’d call that a win.

The upgrade from here would be to concierge level in Calypso Cove. We’d highly recommend the Tropical Oceanview Concierge King / Double (BCK / BCD) in a king or double configuration, located in the same Montpelier building. This move adds the concierge lounge access with a dedicated concierge team, and a fully stocked daily bar all  starting at $452 per guest per night. Whether $44 more per night per guest is worth the concierge access depends entirely on how much your family would use the assistance for dining reservations and daily needs. Our advice would be for families who plan to self manage the week and primarily need a good room and beach access. the LK or LD is the right pick. For families who want the concierge team to handle reservations and coordination, the BCK or BCD is one to consider.

For families where the Reggaeville or Island Village location matters more than Calypso Cove, the GLK and GLD are the Luxury-level rooms in the Savannah and Santa Cruz buildings that start at $323 per guest per night.
