What separates the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Family Suite – 2BG from the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Walkout Grand Butler Family Suite (W2BG) isn’t the floor plan; it’s the location. The W2BG is located in the Savannah buildings in Reggaeville, while the 2BG is in the Savannah buildings in Reggaeville and the Montpelier buildings in Calypso Cove.

With the 2BG, you don’t have the ability to pick which room location you want, so to that point, the W2BG could be a better option if you want to be guaranteed to be in the most central part of the resort. That being said, if you do book the 2BG, we will be happy to make the request on your behalf, and as long as the one you want is available, I know they’ll do their best to put you in it. 

Back to the 2BG: you get two bedrooms featuring butler service, and the same 8-person capacity. For families who want the possibility of being in Calypso Cove, which is closer to the Eventide beachfront section and near Stella, the beachfront Italian restaurant, on the more secluded southern side of the resort, we recommend going with the 2BG.

The Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Family Suite – 2BG is located on the second and third floors of its buildings, with a balcony that opens to ocean and tropical garden views. On your balcony, you’ll have a bistro set, which is a great place to have a family breakfast, a small table, and two chairs. For families who are OK with stairs, don’t need ground-level access, and prefer an ocean view, the 2BG is the right pick. The floor plan is identical to the W2BG, regardless of which village you request: master bedroom with a king bed, single pullout sofa, and flat screen TV; second bedroom with two double beds, pullout sofa, and flat screen TV; living room with a pullout sofabed, daybed with trundle, and flat screen TV. Three full bathrooms, each with a shower-and-tub combination. The in-room bar is refreshed daily with water, juice, soda, local beer, Robert Mondavi wines, sparkling wine, and premium spirits of your choice. Want a bottle of Glenfiddich 12-year? It’ll be there waiting for you on arrival.

While we love all the butler teams at Beaches Negril, Richard and Tawani are two of our favorites, and we will always try our best to get them assigned to your room. As part of that experience, they’ll make sure beach chairs are set up and waiting each morning, bringing drinks and snacks to the beach throughout the day, and keeping you updated on the entertainment happening around the resort so the family doesn’t miss anything. 

The 2BG is an updated suite with a layout that accommodates extended family configurations. We’ve had clients ask if 8 is realistic or cramped, but it works… With three full bathrooms, nobody’s waiting to use one, and the separate living area gives the suite a functional separation between the adults’ and kids’ spaces that connecting rooms don’t provide.

For larger families, the 2BG upgrade is the Tropical Oceanview Three-Bedroom Walkout Grand Butler Family Suite (W3BG) for families that need a third bedroom and 12-person capacity located in Reggaeville.
