The Tropical Oceanview One-Bedroom Grand Concierge Family Suite – 1BG at Beaches Negril is the one-bedroom concierge-level suite for families who want to be located in Calypso Cove and Island CVillage. While the W1BG gives you walkout access in Reggaeville and Island Village, the 1BG gives you options in the Montpelier buildings in Calypso Cove or the Santa Cruz buildings in Island Village.

This is where we recommend our clients stay when they want to be on the quieter southern side of the resort, closer to the Eventide beachfront section, near our favorite beachfront Italian restaurant, Stella, and farthest from the central activity areas.

Let’s talk about the setup… If you’re a family with two teenagers or with kids who are old enough to sleep on pullout sofas in the living room, a shared family suite like the 1BG could make the most sense. We recently had a family return who stayed in this room category with two adults and daughters aged 15 and 11. They came in expecting to prefer Beaches Turks and Caicos over Beaches Negril, which they’d stayed at before, but left preferring Negril, specifically because of the smaller resort size, the amazing staff, and the more relaxed atmosphere.

For us, that feedback tracks with what we’ve experienced personally across nine stays at this resort as a family ourselves.

Inside your suite, the separate bedroom features a king-sized bed with large closets, its own TV, and a double-vanity bathroom with a tub and shower combo. The living room is where the kids stay, and it comes with two pullout sofas, a trundle bed, its own flat-screen TV, with French doors that open to the balcony. In this room category, you also get two bathrooms with a tub-and-shower combos so no one is sharing (win!).

The Tropical Oceanview One-Bedroom Grand Concierge Family Suite – 1BG is located on the first and second floors of the Montpelier buildings in Calypso Cove and the second floor of the Santa Cruz buildings in Island Village.  Concierge service includes champagne on arrival, preferred check-in at the Concierge lounge with access to it from 7am to 10pm where you can get assistance with dining reservations, excursions, and spa bookings.

If you’re considering an upgrade over the 1BG, the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Family Suite (2BG) is it, and it’s great for families who need a second full bedroom and want to move to butler service, while keeping the same multi-village availability but with two bedrooms and butler service. For a ground-floor option, consider going with the W1BG, which features the same one-bedroom layout.
