You can book Sandals yourself in a few minutes. The website is well built, the photography is captivating, and the pricing is clearly understood.

The process of booking the room online is the easiest part. What makes the biggest difference is everything that happens before and after you book. As travel professionals, we understand that these trips are real investments of time and money, and the reasons people travel are deeply personal. A honeymoon is not the same as an anniversary trip, and neither is it the same for a destination wedding, birthday celebration, or a family reset after a hard year.

Working through those differences and helping you pick the right property is part of what we’ll discuss in our initial conversation.

Why the Resort You Think You Want Might Not Always Be the Right One

Every Sandals and Beaches resort looks amazing with its marketing. The photography is professionally shot and edited, the water is blue, and the copy is uplifting. What you cannot see from a photo is what the property experience is like.

Here is one of our recent real-world examples.

Sandals Grenada is one of our highest-ranked resorts, and the Club Level rooms in the Pink Gin building are the ones closest to the water. They are also part of the original build from when Elite Islands owned the property. As such, the rooms in these buildings involve a considerable number of steps and steep grades. One of our clients recently almost booked the Pink Gin Beachfront Club Level Room on her own prior to reaching out to us. During our first conversation, she mentioned having mobility constraints and struggles with stairs. Since the Pink Gin building does not have an elevator, we booked her into a beachfront walkout.

Had she booked directly, as she had planned to before reaching out to us, that detail would never have surfaced until she arrived.

That’s resort fit, and it’s the most consequential decision in the booking process. It is also the one that is hardest to evaluate from a website, because the factors that matter most are things you only know after you’ve been there.

Choosing the Right Room

Room category names at Sandals are not self-explanatory. Their dreamy paragraph-long room titles do not tell you what you need to know, and the gap between what a category sounds like and what it really offers can be significant.

At Sandals Royal Curaçao, many clients come to us convinced they need a Club or Butler-level room. In reality, this is a resort where many of the Luxury-level rooms are indistinguishable from the Club level in terms of design and sometimes, even location. If the extra amenities Club level, like the private check-in, room service, and room views, are not a priority for you, Luxury level at Sandals Royal Curacao is a great choice.

At Sandals Grande St. Lucian, which consistently ranks as our top Sandals resort, that recommendation runs in the opposite direction.

With the exception of the Luxury level Tropical Premium Room (TPR), only Club Level and Butler rooms face the Caribbean, which at this resort is so important because at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, it’s all about the views! Booking a standard luxury-level room facing the Atlantic means facing the main road going into the resort. Most guests who book a luxury-level oceanview room without guidance can easily make that mistake without knowing it exists.

Room location, distance to the beach, proximity to entertainment, floor level, and view orientation are not captured in room descriptions. They come from years of visits and from having personally been in those rooms, and that is exactly the type of service you can expect from a Sandals travel advisor who specializes in Sandals and Beaches resorts.

Sandals promotions change every week. There are percentage discounts, instant credits, free-night offers, honeymoon packages, and Stay More, Save More promotions, each with specific eligibility rules, room categories, length-of-stay requirements, and booking windows.

The goal is not to just find a deal or wait for one to show up. It is making sure your specific booking qualifies for the best available combination of offers at the time you’re ready to commit. Because inventory is limited in 2026 due to Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals Royal Caribbean being closed until the end of the year, we highly recommend booking when you see your room available and not waiting to see if a better promotion shows up.

As of April 2026, renovations are underway at Sandals Grande Antigua. The Oleander building is cordoned off, and construction has begun. Soy and Kimono’s are tripling in size, expanding into the current parking area, with a targeted completion of November 2026. Bella Napoli’s pizza is doubling in size, and Mario’s in the Italian Village is also scheduled for expansion, though no completion date has been confirmed.

If you are booked at Sandals Grande Antigua this year, you need to know this before you arrive.
