Tropical Oceanview One-Bedroom Grand Concierge Family Suite – 1BG

At Beaches Negril, the Tropical Oceanview One-Bedroom Grand Concierge Family Suite – 1BG is one of our favorite rooms for smaller families of up to six and it shares the same layout as the W1BG with a king sized bedroom for the parents, a separate living room with two pullout sofas and a twin daybed with trundle for the kids along with two full bathrooms, both with tub and shower combos, featuring french doors to the outdoor space.

The difference between the two is the floor and the village. The W1BG is ground floor in Reggaeville and Island Village with a walkout patio. The Tropical Oceanview One-Bedroom Grand Concierge Family Suite – 1BG is on the first and second floors of the Montpelier buildings in Calypso Cove and the second floor of the Santa Cruz buildings in Island Village, with a balcony.

For families who want Calypso Cove, closer to the Eventide beachfront section, near the Stella Italian beachfront restaurant, on the southern side of the resort, the 1BG is the only one-bedroom concierge family suite that puts you there. The W1BG doesn’t exist in Calypso Cove.

The family this room fits is ideal for a couple traveling with two or three teenagers, or older kids who can handle a pullout sofa, where a two-bedroom suite is more than you need but a standard concierge room doesn’t have enough sleeping space. We had one family who stayed in the 1BG and had exactly that configuration: two adults and two teenagers, 19 and 14. They described it to us as working great for four people, and they preferred Beaches Negril over Beaches Turks and Caicos for the smaller, more relaxed resort size.

The separate living space gave the teenagers their own area with their own TV and their own door to the balcony, which is something the entire family appreciated.

Concierge service includes champagne on arrival, preferred check-in at the Suite Concierge Center from 7 am to 10 pm, and dedicated assistance with dining reservations, excursions, and spa bookings. In-room bar with local beer, Robert Mondavi wines, and select spirits refreshed daily. You don’t get room service or in-room dining with Concierge level, but the concierge team will handle everything you need during the week.

The 1BG upgrade would be the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Family Suite (2BG) for families who need a second bedroom and want butler service within the same villages. For ground-floor walkout access with the same one-bedroom configuration, the W1BG is the direct comparison.
