Over our many years of specializing in Sandals vacations, we’ve helped honeymooners, anniversary couples, and experienced luxury travelers find their perfect resort in St. Lucia.
During our 1:1 consultations with clients, we focus on:
1) Beach quality & water conditions (calm swimming vs. dramatic views).
2) Room categories (Luxury vs. Club vs. Butler) and how upgrades affect your experience.
3) Dining options & styles offered (like Buccan).
4) Vibe preference (social & active vs. relaxed & private).
Proximity to excursions like the Pitons, waterfalls, and the Gros Islet Friday Night Jump Up.
Pro tip: “Stay at 1, Play at 3” means no matter which resort you choose, you get access to each one, totaling 3 beaches, 11 pools, 27 restaurants, and 21 bars, all connected by complimentary shuttles.
As part of our professional services, we help you plan which days to enjoy which property, so you maximize your stay.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian: Calmest waters, most dining options, overwater bungalows, great for first-timers, food lovers, and water sports enthusiasts.
Sandals Regency La Toc: Stunning bluffside views, golf access, great value for the price, perfect for active couples who like variety without overspending.
Sandals Halcyon Beach: Smallest, most intimate setting, meandering pool, lush gardens, suited to those seeking quiet, romance, and an unhurried pace.
If you just want the short version, here are the top 3 Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia for 2026:
With Pigeon Island as your backdrop and an expansive, swimmable bay, this beach is equal parts majestic and all the way around amazing. This is also our #1 rated Best Sandals Resort for 2026. Travel Tip: Sandals Grande St. Lucian is all about the views, and those are on the Caribbean side of the resort. Try to avoid rooms facing the Atlantic as that is where the main road is leading into the resort.
Sandals Regency La Toc offers one of the most beautiful settings of any Sandals resort. This expansive resort sits on a private crescent-shaped beach and features the newest Buccan dining experience, previously offered only at Sandals Saint Vincent.
Tucked along a quiet stretch of shoreline, Sandals Halcyon Beach is a more intimate, laid-back take on the Sandals experience. This smaller resort is surrounded by tropical gardens that feels removed from the busier pace of its larger sister properties. It’s great for couples who want a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere with personalized service, where everything is close by, and the focus is on slowing down and enjoying the setting.
Whether you’re planning a honeymoon, a romantic getaway, a true reset, or just need a break that actually feels like a break, we’re here for you!
Now that we’ve talked about how we narrowed down our top 3 Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia, let’s take a closer look at the resorts themselves and what each has to offer.
Calm Water + Epic Views + Excursions
Set on its own peninsula in Rodney Bay between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, Sandals Grande St. Lucian has an amazing long, calm beach sheltered from waves, making it the best for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding.
As one of the top Sandals travel advisors in the United States, we’ve booked this resort hundreds of times and are very familiar with the room categories. While it’s not the newest Sandals resort, it is still modern with elegantly designed rooms.
Having stayed in a Rondoval suite, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best room categories at Sandals Grande St Lucian but it’s important to know that some are more private than others. If this is a room you’re interested in, connect with us using the chat feature below and we’ll help you pick the right one!
At Sandals Grande St. Lucian you get 12 dining options, including Gordon’s on the Pier (requires reservations), plus five pools and an over-the-water wedding chapel so it’s a great choice for couples who want options without leaving the resort.
Plus, you’re already on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean!
Pricing / Costs: Sandals Luxury level rooms at Sandals Grande St. Lucian start from around $400 per person per night; overwater bungalows start at $1,100.
Resort Experiences: Over-the-water bungalows, calm bay which is perfect for water sports and you can easily walk to Pigeon Island National Park.
It’s great. Grab your mask and snorkel and head off the beach, just around the pier, where you’ll see fish and coral.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the most popular, thanks to its beach and dining options, but Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Regency La Toc each have their own things that make them special. Contact us for more info and we’ll cover them all with you!
Picture-Perfect Romantic Beach Vibes
Built into a 210-acre estate with what can only be described as a highly-dramatic bluff, Sandals La Toc brings you epic ocean views, nine dining venues, and a brand new rondoval village that used to sit on the on-site 9-hole golf course. It’s often the most budget-friendly of the three, with Sandals Luxury rooms starting just over $300 pp/pn but also offers butler-level suites like the Millionaire Suite or Oceanfront Two-Story Butler Villa (~$800 pp/pn).
Our initial impressions from our last visit are that this is a top Sandals resort, even more so now with the newly debuted Rondoval Village and Buccan dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with a smile, and as we prepared for our check-in, I could see that beachfront pool with its swim-up bar calling my name. Mojito, anyone?
Trade-offs: The beach is smaller and can have rougher surf, but our clients will often do a split stay at La Toc followed by another part of their vacation at Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
Unique Experiences: As a guest of Sandals Regency LaToc you have complete access to the nearby golf course at the Cap Estate Country Club. We really enjoy the days around the main pool area, and love taking in the cliffside views from the suites with private plunge pools.
Client insight: “We loved the energy by the pool, but the quiet at the bluff was just a golf-cart ride away.”
And… with over 13,000, 4.5 ratings on Trip Advisor, the overall experience speaks to the food, fun water activities, and ocean views from the seaside bluffs.
No, it was recently replaced by the brand new Rondoval Village. Guests staying at Sandals Regency LaToc have full access to the Cap Estate Country Club, featuring a championship Greg Norman-designed 18-hole course.
Long Beach Walks + Sunset Views
With just 194 rooms, Sandals Halcyon Beach offers an intimate, walkable experience surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Its meandering pool is one of the longest in the Caribbean, perfect for taking in the Caribbean sunshine with a Piton or rum punch in hand. Dining is more limited here with only six restaurants, but the Pier Restaurant is a guest favorite, especially at sunset.
Historically speaking, Sandals Halcyon Beach has not been top of mind when compared to the other two Sandals resorts in St. Lucia, but that has started to change, especially with the recent updates that its received over the past 18 months.
Costs: From ~$300 per person per night; recent renovations added new butler suites.
Unique touches: Friday night Chocolate Buffet at Paradise Bar, pier dining, easy access to SLU airport (~6 miles away) for multi-island trips.
Client: “We chose Halcyon for the peace and garden views, but shuttled to Grande for dining options, best of both worlds.”
If you enjoy premium touches like room service, priority reservations, and personalized planning, yes. If you’re always out and about, Luxury may be totally fine.
We’ve seen what works, and what can catch people off guard. Here are some of the same strategies we share with our personal clients:
Transfers: The ride from UVF airport to the northern resorts takes 75–90 minutes along scenic but winding roads. If you’re prone to motion sickness or just want to start your trip faster, consider a helicopter transfer to SLU or take the FuntoSee Ferry. Note: Currently the ferry only operates once per day so it may not work for everyone if your flight comes too early in the day.
Pack wisely: Resort shops do charge a premium for basics like sunscreen, save yourself the markup and bring it with you.
Dining flow hack: If you’re visiting a resort with a Soy sushi bar, we highly recommend stopping in for a pre-dinner drink and appetizer.
Beach strategy: If you’re at Sandals Regency La Toc, dedicate at least one full day to Sandals Grande St. Lucians beach. Shuttles start as early as 9am so you can still arrive early enough to snag prime spots.
Cross-resort planning: Use the complimentary “Stay at 1, Play at 3” shuttles to your advantage. We’ll help map out which days to enjoy Sandals Halcyon’s gardens, Sandals Grande’s watersports, an even Sandals La Toc’s golf.
